Huan Liu
Postdoctoral Fellow
Biography
I graduated from School of Stomatology in Wuhan University with a doctoral degree in dental medicine. I had a strong clinical dental background including endodontics and craniofacial surgery. Also, in my doctoral training, I did research in dentinogenesis and osteogenesis using cellular model and conditional-knockout mouse model.
I came to University of Iowa in 2013 as postodoctoral researcher co-mentored by Dr Lidral and Dr Cornell. The main goal of my research in Iowa is to find out the orofacial-clefting-related-pathogenic variants using zebrafish based on the genetic study in syndromic and nonsyndromic cleft palate patients.
